Rembrandt Society members painted childrens faces at the downtown Holiday celebration on Saturday, November 22.
On November 20, Rembrandt Society sponsored a workshop on Fantasy Art featuring Brent Chumley as the guest artist. Students from four schools, that attended the workshop, also participated in a regional art contest. See more photographs by clicking on the Rembrandt Society tab.
The sixth of a series of murals for Bremer Sanctuary is now finished. One painting named and illustrated the five wildlife habitats found there. The other five paintings individually illustrate with detail each habitat: Oak Savanna, Woodland, Prairie, Woodland Stream, and Pond. The paintings will be used in the Educational Center to help educate the young school groups that visit Bremer Sanctuary.

Members of Rembrandt Society explored art in St. Louis on October 31. They toured the Niki sculptures at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, and the St. Louis Basilica.
Most people think of painting, drawing, and sculpture when they think of visual arts. But today, the world of visual art also includes photography; film-making; crafts; industrial, fashion, and interior design; landscape architecture; television production; and technology arts.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD ART PROGRAM?
A good visual art program teaches about the language of art; the history of art, career opportunities, develops an appreciation for art, and develops art skills.
DOES A LOW GRADE MEAN POOR TALENT?
Other factors, such as attitude, discipline, responsibility, and cooperation, can affect grading.
